Airbnb offices across the globe are using this holiday season to make a positive impact on their local communities. Traditionally a time of celebration and reflection, the holidays are a great time to reset and focus on what matters most. In that spirit, local offices across the world have launched actions to inspire a “World of Gratitude” with an emphasis on local charity.
The London office will be backing a local Clerkenwell charity, St. Luke’s Community Centre, which does a lot of work in the area with underprivileged residents and families. The team just launched a charity drive for the organisation, which is slated to run through mid-December in order to raise funds and goods for those less fortunate.
For team members unable to lend their time, they’ll be able to donate directly to St. Luke’s Christmas Giving Campaign or purchase a gift for someone else in the local community. If you’d like to support the charity by purchasing a gift under £20, visit their wish list (search for list number 722421) before it closes on December 8.
Alternatively, London staff will be supporting and volunteering at St. Luke’s Community Fridge which aims to tackle food waste and poverty by redistributing food which would have otherwise gone to waste.
