#LondonIsOpen is a major campaign launched by the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to show that London is united and open for business and to the world following the EU referendum. It will show the world that London remains entrepreneurial, international and full of creativity and possibility, while reassuring the more than one million foreign nationals who live in London that they will always be welcome, and that any form of discrimination will not be tolerated.
Sadiq is urging all Londoners, organisations and businesses to show their support for the #LondonIsOpen message via social media and other creative ways. All of us at Airbnb are delighted to contribute to the campaign in our own unique way.
As the Mayor of London takes his #LondonIsOpen campaign to the US, new poll data shows the vast majority of international travellers say post-Brexit London is open, friendly and welcoming. Meanwhile, hosts on Airbnb have launched new videos to back the #LondonIsOpen campaign as they continue to welcome international guests into their homes. The new independent poll data, commissioned by Airbnb and carried out by Opinium, includes the views of more than 1,000 international travellers on post-Brexit London from the US, France, Spain, Germany and Italy. It includes both users and non-users of the Airbnb platform.
